What Onbello is

Onbello is self-help software. It applies the answers you give to published court forms, court rules, and filing requirements, and it prepares documents at your direction. You choose what to file, which forms to use, what to say, and whether to file at all. Onbello does not select forms for you, does not decide strategy for you, and does not tell you what outcome to expect.

Onbello is not a law firm, is not your attorney, and does not represent you.

No legal advice, no attorney-client relationship

Everything on this site, including guides, answers, calculators, and documents the software prepares, is general information and document preparation. It is not legal advice. Using Onbello does not create an attorney-client relationship. If Onbello offers review of your documents by an independent licensed attorney, that review does not create an attorney-client relationship unless you separately engage that attorney under your own agreement with them.

For advice about your situation, consult a licensed attorney in your state.

Accuracy and change of law

Legal information on this site is current as of the date it was published or last updated. Statutes, case law, court forms, local rules, and filing fees change, sometimes without notice, and they vary by county and by judge. We work to keep the site current, but we do not warrant that any information, form version, fee, or deadline is complete, accurate, or up to date on the day you use it.

Your responsibility to review before filing

You are responsible for the content of anything you file. Read every document the software prepares, confirm the facts are true, confirm the forms and version numbers are the ones your court requires, and confirm the deadlines before you sign or file. Court declarations are signed under penalty of perjury. Filing a document you have not read and verified is your risk, not ours.

Acceptable use

Use Onbello only for your own matter or a matter you are lawfully authorized to work on. Do not use it to harass another person, to submit information you know to be false, to scrape or resell the content, or to reverse engineer the service. We may suspend access for any of these.

Payment

The free tools are free and require no account. The paid filing packet will be $129 when it launches; joining the waitlist locks in launch pricing. Prices, and the states and counties we cover, may change before launch. Court filing fees are set by the court and are not included.

Limitation of liability

The service is provided as is, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. To the fullest extent the law allows, Onbello is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost cases, missed deadlines, rejected filings, or lost profits. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in the twelve months before the claim.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. When we do, we will change the last updated date above. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in California.
